Dhaka--(UNB) – New Model High School earned a narrow two-wicket victory over Monipur High School in a pre-quarter final match of the 19th National School Cricket Tournament at the Dhanmondi Club ground yesterday (Tuesday).

Brief score : Monipur High School – 201 all out in 35 overs. Bappa 51, Pappa 37, Tapu 34, Amzad 19, extras 30, Akid 4/47, Arman Reza 3/37.

Monipur High School – 203 for 8 in 33.5 overs. Ashique not out 60, Zahidul 34, Sakib 18, Ramzan 15, extras 30, Shanta 2/22, Pappa 2/24, and Mustafa 2/39.

In the day’s other matches, AK High School, Siddeswari Boys High and Sourav Smriti High won their respective matches at different city venues.

At the PIG ground, AK High School beat Adarsha Shikka Niketan by 50 runs.

Brief score : AK high School – 204 for 9 in 35 overs. Saiful 64, Rony 26, Masum 24, Faruk not out 19, extras 46, Haider 4/24, Jasim 2/44.

Adarsha Shikka Niketan – 154 all out in 31.4 overs. Rakibul 31, Haider 21, Atiqul 18, Riaz 17, extras 34, Saiful 3/25, Mustafa 3/27, Rony 2/36.

At the Uttara Friends Club ground, Sourav Smriti High School defeated Student Computerised by six wickets.

Student Computerised – 87 all out in 22.2 overs. Masud 14, Alamgir 14, extras 32, Sohel 5/16, Rony 3/15.

Sourav Smriti School – 88 for 4 in 18.1 overs. Babu 35, Parag not out 29, extras 12, Hanif 2/25.

At the UPL ground, Siddeswari Boys High beat Motijheel Govt Boys School by two wickets.
